mark cavolowsky

Mark, our fearless leader, is a Solidworks and MatLab ninja working on the conventional shielding. He is a Junior Mechanical Engineering major.

chester macklin

Chester works on the superconducting shield portion of the project. Chester takes his work on this project extremely seriously. He is a sophomore robotics major.


angela sharer

Angela is a Sophomore Systems engineering major. She works on the super conducting shield part of the project. Angela loves llamas, Thai food, the color green, and the destruction of puppies everywhere.

ash walker

Ash is a sophomore electrical engineering major working on the conventional shielding. She has been known to prefer cleaning up after a horse to cleaning up her own room.



michael griffin

Michael Griffin, the director of NASA, was an engineer by training and provides us inspiration for working for NASA this summer.

Dr. Enectali Figueroa

Dr. Enectali Figueroa-Feliciano is our NASA research advisor. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics at MIT after working at NASA Goddard as an astrophysicist.

Dr. Steve Holt

Dr. Steve Holt was a the Director of Space Sciences at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. He currently teaches physics at Olin and Babson Colleges, and is advising us on our project.

Dr. Brad Minch

Dr. Brad Minch is one of our faculty advisors on this project. He currently is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Olin. He likes origami and creating such things as birds and airplanes.
